The House of Orléans-Vasser ascended to the Throne of Lourenne on June 1st, 2705 with the unanimous support of the Senate. The descendents of Thérèse d'Orléans-Vasser ruled Lourenne as a constitutional monarchy until they were removed from power in 3127 and replaced by the short-lived House of Branigan, which survived for just seven years. The House of Orleans-Vasser had two subsequent short-lived restorations in 3147 and 3293 respectively. In 3352, the House of Demitreus was established as the new ruling house of Lourenne, and has ruled on-and-off until the present day.
