As a result of being embarrassed by Josh Gillman, she is manipulating Ray Stanz to put the hurt on Josh in a major way; she is not aware that Stanz caused the incident. She has two sidekicks, Becky Brown, who she uses for "Kissing Practice", and the forgettable Dorothy Maxwell. After a confrontation with Mr. Maxwell, her mutant status became public, and (predictably) her father rejected her, transferring guardianship to her maternal uncle Bill, who revealed that Suzan's mother had also been a mutant. Eventually, she was sent to Whateley Academy.
