The Blue Lotus Rebellion was a revolt against the Xinhan Dynasty. Although inspired by the Zenshō Daenist Blue Lotus Society and its ideology of Zenshō Socialism, the rebellion was a wide social movement, encompassing people from all social classes, united by their dissatisfaction towards the Xinhan monarchy. The rebellion ended with the dethronement of the Xinhan Dynasty and the coronation of Tengyuan Xinyu as the Xin Emperor, creating the Mingzhi Dynasty.
