Gord Alexander Wappel (born July 26, 1958 in Regina, Saskatchewan) is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenceman who played 22 National Hockey League games for the Atlanta/Calgary Flames from 1979 until 1982. He scored one goal and one assist in his NHL career. Wappel played junior hockey with the Regina Blues and the Regina Pats from 1973 to 1978. The Atlanta Flames chose him 80th overall in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. He spent five years in the Atlanta Flames/Calgary Flames system, most of them in the minors. He did get into 22 games for the Flames. He retired following the 1982–83 season.
