Krakiota is a legendary sea serpent who lives on Skull Rock. According to myth and legend, he knows all the secrets of Mobius, yet destroyed a hundred warships and devoured entire crews. When Captain Plunder and the Spice Maidens found him at home, he was considerably smaller than they expected (he fit into the palm of a hand). The 'monster' granted the party three questions, two of which Plunder wasted. When even Queen Zorabel asked the wrong question, Krakiota refused to answer any more questions, abiding by the rules. He relented slightly, after an attempt to cook him by Simpson the Cat.

- Legends surrounding Krakiota describe him as a great fearsome beast who destroyed hundreds of warships and devoured entire crews, but in fact Krakiota is peaceful and very small, able to fit comfortably in the palm of someone's hand. Krakiota is permitted to answer three questions to those who visit him, and he takes this very seriously. He also has a very literal mindset, for example failing to distinguish between real and rhetorical questions.
