Lee once processed a woman with a warrant out for abandoning her child. The woman could not take care of him and left him with a family she worked for in the Marina. Lee decided not to alert the police and let the woman disappear into the Sanctuary without making a record. As a consequence she nearly lost her job when her supervisor found out. Lee was interested in soccer. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part II") Lee was played by Tina Lifford. The character's name, which was never mentioned in dialogue, was derived from the name of Robert Vaughn's character of the same name in the film The Magnificent Seven. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, p. 197) According to the script, she was a Public Health official.
