Gary Fay Wood (July 9, 1942 – March 3, 1994) was an American football quarterback in the National Football League from 1964 until 1969. The 5' 11'' quarterback was drafted out of Cornell University in the 1964 NFL Draft by the New York Giants in the eighth round. Wood in his time in the NFL had a career completion percentage of 46.5% and a passer rating of 54.5. Wood was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame on March 24, 1996.

Despite the fact that he was born in Canada, he took out American citizenship since his parents were American. He played junior hockey in Fort Frances and was chosen 12th overall by the Oakland Seals in the 1967 NHL Amateur Draft. Wood turned pro in 1967-68 with the Dayton Gems of the International Hockey League. He then served in the American Army until 1970.

| - Gary Wood (born September 28, 1946 in Fort Frances, Ontario) is a retired American defenceman. Despite the fact that he was born in Canada, he took out American citizenship since his parents were American. He played junior hockey in Fort Frances and was chosen 12th overall by the Oakland Seals in the 1967 NHL Amateur Draft. Wood turned pro in 1967-68 with the Dayton Gems of the International Hockey League. He then served in the American Army until 1970. On his return Wood played for the Johnstown Jets of the Eastern Hockey League. Wood played in the minors, most notably for the Charlotte Checkers of the Southern Hockey League, until his retirement in 1977.
