  • Moombahcore is an emerging sub-genre of electronic dance music deviating from moombahton. As well as incorporating elements of Dutch house and reggaeton as moombahton did, moombahcore also fuses elements of aggressive dubstep. Moombahcore tracks often feature wobble bass, FM synthesis, distorted basses and leads, and complex percussion patterns. While there is still much debate over who was the first to produce in the moombahcore style, it is widely accepted that artists such as Dillon Francis, Knife Party, Nick Thayer and Skrillex and helped this new sub-genre to gain rapid underground popularity. Other emerging producers associated with the moombahcore movement include Singularity, Munchi (DJ) |Munchi, F3ral, Calvertron, Diplo, Funtcase, Figure, 501, Whiiite, and Youno.
