| - Magic-user is a D&D term for a type of arcane caster. Magic-users are adept at casting spells that attack foes or alter the environment, such as sleep, fireball, and teleport. Magic-users existed in Original Dungeons & Dragons, the Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set, and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. In Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2e, the magic-user was renamed the mage.
