- The Skulls were a mercenary starfighter force known for both the skills and ruthlessness of their members. The organization had been involved in numerous conflicts since the time of the Clone Wars. Rather then being fixed to a single planet or location, the Skulls traditionally operated form a starship, with secondary planetside faculties dependent on their strengths and operational needs. Their flagship was the Laughing Skull, an old Venator-class Star Destroyer that was salvaged and refitted. Previous ships in the same role included a variety of modified freighters and light warships, none of them as suited to the role as the most recent ship.
- The Skulls are heads of humans that have rotted for so long that the skin and flesh are gone and when the Master Chief picks one up he gains super powers, which range from having no radar to making his enemies stronger. The more useful ones get you superduper powers like bigger explosions, funny dialogue (like the Grunts need anything more funny to say) and the strange power to make grunts heads explode in confetti when shot in the head, shouting an extremely childish "YAY!" sound as they die.
- The Skulls are an enemy group in City of Heroes and City of Villains. Founded by the Petrovic brothers, the Skulls are a death worshiping cult whose initiation is a rather morbid affair. Recruits are ordered to kill a target in a rival gang (or a random person of the street) and are then taken to choose their own casket. They then must dig up a grave and take the front of the dead victim's skull as the mask that will make up their new 'face.'
