After the Gimpel children had been taken into custody on suspicion of being Jews, Koch made life particularly difficult for Francesca after her release. When the Committee for the Salvation of the Greater German Reich launched its Putsch in 2011, Koch was a vocal supporter, making her students learn the Committee's name and the name of Odilo Globocnik, the interim Führer. When the Putsch failed, Koch was replaced.
