abstract
| - The Chancellor of Rio Blanco is the President of the Parliament of Rio Blanco, which consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Chancellor's main function is to sign laws, which are then enacted. It is the third highest rank in the national politics. The Chancellor-Appointed is chosen by the President. The term of the Chancellor-Appointed lasts four days (1 to 4 August included), during which parties may field candidate Chancellors in a special election, held on 5 August, in which only one candidate is confirmed by the Parliament; this special election requires the candidate to be voted by at least 77 Members of Parliament. Unlike the Vice President, the Chancellor is not required to be part of the same party as the President. In case the Chancellor-Appointed fails to reach the quorum, another election will be held, with the least voted candidate being eliminated from the race.
