| - The Battle of Borosk, codenamed Operation: ACUTE SPEAR by the Imperial Special Operations Command and colloquially known as the Invasion of Borosk, was an engagement between the Galactic Empire and the Empire-in-Exile on the world of Borosk in the Outer Rim Territories, in 137 ABY. Although an Imperial victory, with the complete destruction of the 908th Stormtrooper Division, it was a Pyrrhic and costly victory, with substantial casualties incurred amongst the 407th Stormtrooper Division, especially amongst its airborne infantry. This was largely due to the 908th's fortified defenses, which proved to be nearly impossible for the 407th to breach without unacceptable casualties. The disastrous losses amongst the 407th stemmed from inadequate reconnaissance, lack of flexibility to strike non-hardened targets, and an unwillingness to effectively employ Imperial Special Forces during the body of the main assault. The engagement was notable for being one of the engagements that Joint Special Operations Task Force 452/Special Operations Task Force 184 participated in.
