The N'Akkiarlian Dragon was a species of wise, extremely intelligent and generally peaceful sentient dragons from the N'Akkiarl Sector, believed to have come from the planet "Dragon's World" (N'Akkiarlian name - actual name unknown) they were a very ancient race believed to have evolved around the year 90,000,000 BBY (though N'Akkiarlian legend says they had existed since the universe began). They were able to live in space and had colonised a quarter of the N'Akkiarl Galaxy by 89,796,000 and ruled it for many tens of millions of years until around 33,382,741 BBY when they started dying out by unknown causes.

They were able to live in space and had colonised a quarter of the N'Akkiarl Galaxy by 89,796,000 and ruled it for many tens of millions of years until around 33,382,741 BBY when they started dying out by unknown causes. By 33,381,000 BBY their kind only remained in the N'Akkiarl System, their original home and even there they were dying out. Fortunately they managed to breed enough to out-last the extinction event, they had survived "by the skin of their teeth" but they never left the N'Akkiarl Sector for fear that another extinction event would happen which would wipe them out. Around the year 20,000,000 BBY they watched the N'Akkiarla evolve and were enslaved by the Eoki, they saw the N'Akkiarla revolt against the Eoki. It was believed that the Ancient N'Akkiarlian religion, which had a pantheon consisting of dragon gods, was created from mythologised encounters between N'Akkiarlian Dragons and early N'Akkiarlians.
