  • Cherylee Houston (born 1975 in Morecambe, Lancashire), joined the current cast of Coronation Street as Izzy Armstrong in April 2010. As a teenager she began appearing in school plays and later trained at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester. It was only after she graduated at twenty-three that she was diagnosed with the rare tissue disorder, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome Type III hypermobility type. She has used a wheelchair ever since. Her other credits include roles in A Thing Called Love, Little Britain, Holby City, The Bill, I'm with Stupid, Doctors and Emmerdale.
