- Wand of destruction is a rare type of wand in ADOM. Zapping a wand of destruction unleashes magical energies into a wide area around the PC that destroys some types of walls and other structures, as well as injuring any monsters in the 'blast' radius. The effect also drains the PC of some HP and PP; maximum PP can also decrease depending on the amount of destruction caused[1], though a reduction often tends to be very little (about 1-3).
- It's make a wand of destruction. If you target the wand on a useable object, the object will simply disappear ! If you target a creature, it will fly to the upper of the screen and disappear. Try it on your caracter !

| - While the damage that they deal to monsters is usually not that remarkable , wands of destruction can be useful digging tools and can allow the PC to destroy walls that other tools and spells can't. More notably, a wand of destruction can also help players achieve a victory more easily... if the player, through either spoilers or a bit of creative thinking on their own part, knows how to use one to do so.

Terrain destruction
'Diggable' walls in the blast radius of the wand's effect will be destroyed, as will doors. Although wands of destruction won't affect most walls that cannot be dug through by any means, such as those that make up the structures of the Pyramid and Darkforge, there are some exceptions to these:
*Hidden rooms in High Mountain Village and Dwarftown
*The arena
*Parts of the casino shop, potentially allowing the PC to shoplift
*Walls in the Ice Queen Domain
