Let's face it - epic spells tend to be awesome. Even the simplest of epic spells are only available to the most powerful and experienced of spellcasters. But not all epic spells are created equal. In order to learn or cast an epic spell, you need to make a Spellcraft check. And some of those DCs can be outrageously high, so much so that you can't help but wonder how the heck anyone can pull it off.
