- Sir Cliff Richard (born Harry Roger Webb) is a British singer, actor and philanthropist. He is one of the United Kingdom's most legendary and much-loved artists, selling over 250 million albums worldwide. He participated in Eurovision twice for his country, the first being in 1968 on home ground in London with the song Congratulations. He gave a very confident performance, but finished second by 1 vote behind Spain. His second appearance was at the 1973 contest in Luxembourg, performing the song Power To All Our Friends. He led for some part of the voting, but eventually faded to third place.
- Sir Clifford Richard, more commonly known as Baron Cliff Richard or the Peter Sutcliffe of Pop, or God's 'other' Son Born around the Roman Empire, is a blatant British carbon copy of the American rock'n'roller Elvis Presley who has sold 250 squillion records in his homeland of Great Britain. He is the only rock star of genuine geological significance, having been hewn from the famous White Cliffs of Dover, hence his first name. Despite his basic chalk/limestone composition, he still manages to sing reasonably in tune, jiggle about on stage, and sign autographs for fans. He is also currently married to former Prime Minister Sue Barker.

- Cliff Richard (1940- ) was born Harry Webb in Lucknow, India. He has had an entertainment career that has spanned seven decades and racked up colossal sales, both as a solo artist and with his original backing band, the Shadows. He has gone from being a rock'n'roll contender to family entertainer and never compromised his clean-cut image in the process. In tandem with his music career, Richard is a committed Christian who evangelises constantly and has released several LPs with a Biblical basis (although these have admittedly sold poorly in comparison to his pop material): he classes the majority of his music as 'rockspell.' He seems to be permanently either in the UK top ten or at number 1 for Christmas (although only Mistletoe And Wine and Saviour's Day actually managed to perform the la
- Harry Rodger Webb was born in India at the King George Hospital, Victoria Street, in Lucknow, which was then part of British India (or the British Raj). His parents were Rodger Oscar Webb, a manager for a catering contractor that serviced the Indian Railways, and his wife Dorothy Marie Dazely. Richard was baptised Harry Rodger Webb on 2 November 1940 at St Thomas's Church, Dehradun, India.[citation needed] Harry Webb became interested in skiffle. His father bought him a guitar at 16 and he formed the Quintones vocal group in 1957, before singing in the Dick Teague Skiffle Group.
- With his backing group, the Shadows, Richard, originally positioned as a rebellious rock and roll singer in the style of Little Richard[4] and Elvis Presley, dominated the British popular music scene in the pre-Beatles period of the late 1950s and early 1960s. His 1958 hit single, "Move It", is often described as Britain's first authentic rock and roll song, and John Lennon once claimed that "before Cliff and the Shadows, there had been nothing worth listening to in British music."[5][6] Increased focus on his Christian faith and subsequent softening of his music later led to a more middle of the road pop image, and he sometimes ventured into contemporary Christian music.
