- Ancient Statues are the assassins of Zoldark the Unholy's army. Unlike the rest of his minions, they are not Undead, but rather appear to be elementals like the Carven Effigies of the Desolation.

- The worn but noble visage engraved on the statue belongs to Aranarth, the first Chieftain of the Dunedain after the fall of Arthedain. The statue was probably created some time after the wars that destroyed the old Kingdom, most likely by the Rangers who hold Aranarth in great reverence. It is in good repair suggesting that the rangers tend to it to this day. The memories of the Dunedain are long, and their respect for the dead borders on obsession at times. - The ancient statue is a statue that appears in the Animal Crossing series. It makes its debut in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and is available for purchase at Crazy Redd's. Dogū are small humanoid or animal figurines that were only manufactured in the Jōmon period (14,000 - 400 BC) in prehistoric Japan. These were believed to destroy illnesses and other misfortunes. The majority of examples of Dogū are supposedly modeled after female goddesses, having big eyes, small waists, and large hips which also suggest an association with fertility and shamanistic rites. Furthermore, the difference in the details of each Dogū depended on the area it was made.

Furthermore, the difference in the details of each Dogū depended on the area it was made. Many of the Dogū, ranging from 10 - 30 cm tall were not entirely intact and were missing arms, legs, or other body parts, which in many cases are believed to be cut off in fertility rituals.
