The Lava Chamber Gate was a gate inside Mount Valmai, at the base of a bridge in a large underground cavern below the Lake of Lava. It was the last area down the 777 stairs that anyone had to go through before reaching the Chamber of Life. The Piraka intended on ambushing the Toa Inika, but ended up battling. However, Nuparu weakened it with an earthquake, and Kongu accidentally destroyed the bridge with a cyclone in an effort to dislodge Zaktan from his post.
