  • The Fivefold Curse is a Falatacot prophecy from the Book of Eibhil. The Fivefold Curse, along with the Heretical Prophecy, Lay out the Sendings of Darkness. These were the final words of Sarvien II, the last king of Dericost, which he uttered to Empress Alaidain as he died on the Ice Throne. When Alaidain returned from Dericost, she inscribed this curse on Alaidain's Gem. In her waning years, she entrusted this gem to the wards of Ithaenc. Only the monarchs of the Seaborne Empire were allowed to read these words. Much later, Asheron referred to it as the curse of Eibhiill. Isparians discovered Alaidain's Gem in Leafcull, 11 PY. The Fivefold curse can be broken up into the five Sendings as follows: {| |valign=top| First Sending |valign=top| As we were sent by the Darkness |- |colspan=2| |- |valign=top| Second Sending |valign=top| The Darkness shall send againAn avenging starA light to bring darkness |- |colspan=2| |- |valign=top| Third Sending |valign=top| The Darkness shall send thenA knowledge:A power to bring destructionFor Alaidain's blood shall beThe death of the people |- |colspan=2| |- |valign=top| Fourth Sending |valign=top| And then Darkness shall send yet again |- |colspan=2| |- |valign=top| Fifth Sending |valign=top| And once more, and the Darkness shall win |- |}
