| - The Dorvain General Election, 1866 was held on the 27th May 1866 to elect the Eighteenth Parliament of the Commonwealth of Dorvain. Each of the 125 parliamentary constituencies elected one Member of Parliament to Parliament. Tensions between Great Garnia and the Commonwealth had drastically increased since the previous election. Great Garnia had sunk a Dorvanish ship, which their government officially responded as a mistake, because they thought Dorvain had sent the ship near their waters to attack, whilst it was merely a delivery ship. The government of Great Garnia went on to officially apologize. Whilst Jason Webster accepted the apology and saw it as an opportunity to ease tensions, Edmonson and the Royalists believed Great Garnia was lying, and that they needed to be made accountable for their supposed error. They campaigned that if elected they would force Great Garnia to pay a fine to the government, which would go towards improved infrastructure. Whilst many were afraid this would aggravate tensions and perhaps lead to war, others saw this as a just response, with Webster branded "a coward". Edmonson's Royalists won a landslide victory over the Democrats and enacted their promise to fine Great Garnia, which they paid duly.
