- Bernard Fox is an actor that portrayed Winston Havelock in the first of the The Mummy films. Born Bernard Lawson to Queenie and Gerald Lawson in Port Talbot, Glamorgan, Wales, Fox’s parents were both actors, their son Bernard continuing acting as a fifth-generation actor, with Fox’s uncle being the veteran actor Wilfrid Lawson. Fox’s older sister was named Mavis and Fox’s wife Jacqueline has been married to him since 1961. Fox appeared on the stage at 18 months of age and continued on acting, becoming not only an actor but an assistant stage manager for a repertory theatre at the age of 14.
