The Grand Alliance is an extremely grandiose title coined for the unified armies of ten of the fourteen kingdoms of the Westlands, which allied together to fight the Aiel outside the walls of Tar Valon during the Aiel War.

- The Grand Alliance has been an alliance of various nations and factions during various eras. Its most recent incarnation came into existence in 1017 AE in the city of Remonton when various Remonian city-states, elves of Folsworth Woods and dwarves of Drithenspire formed an alliance and marched to aid Maar Sul against the growing Proninist menace and later the threat posed by the Crimson Coalition. The overall commander of the Alliance is King Marcus Sarillius.
- The Grand Alliance of the Blade is an international alliance established by The Japenesan Republic in response to the oppresive Allied Powers. The Alliance believes in collective cooperation and prime defense. The Kingdom of Youngia is the newest member of the Alliance, joining on 6 September 2009.
- The Grand Alliance is a militay alliance between micronations on 5 May 2009. All members of the Alliance automatically become allies with one another after joining and the Alliance's main aim is to keep its members safe. All member-states are required to sign the Grand Pact to join the alliance, but as for now it has not been drawn up.
- Forged by the Treaty of Amundsen-Scott of 2140 CE, the alliance was comprised of the USTA, the JKEU, the South Asian Confederation and the European Federation for the single purpose of ending extremism. The Grand Allies dusted off the old United Nations Charter of the Twentieth Century and revitalized the police and humanitarian bureaucracies of that atrophied institution for the single purpose of constructing two consolidated powers out of the extremist factions. The Grand Blockade of 2141- 2144 CE and the Zulu Hour Ultimatum of 11:00AM UTC November 11, 2144 CE brought about the end to global terrorism and resulted in the formation of the last two consolidated states – the African Union and the Federation of Ancient Peoples.
- However, the Alliance was forced to move the bulk of its forces to Kalimdorand to the southern Eastern Kingdoms continents of Khaz Modan and Azeroth in the aftermath of the Undead Scourge that destroyed Lordaeron. It has since lost many members as well as gained new allies, including the Draenei of Argus, the Kaldorei, and the Tushui Pandaren. In addition, the High Elves of Quel'thalas, whom were once a minority, have made a triumphant return to the Alliance as a major military organization known as the Silver Covenant.

After learning of this, courtesy of Anton Zilwicki and Victor Cachat, President Eloise Pritchart sailed to Manticore to offer a peace treaty and military alliance to Queen Elizabeth III. The Queen agreed, and over the next month a rough treaty was drafted and subsequently confirmed by the Manticoran and Havenite legislatures. (HH12, HH13)
