The Ophuchi cave was a cave in the Dune Sea on Tatooine. Part of the Ophuchi Sanctuary, the cave was the only known location of the full text of the Prophecy of the Chosen One that spoke of the coming of a galactic savior. It was also the location of a number of other prophecies, as well as a number of cave paintings that visually depicted some of the prophecies and historical events.

abstract	The Ophuchi cave was a cave in the Dune Sea on Tatooine. Part of the Ophuchi Sanctuary, the cave was the only known location of the full text of the Prophecy of the Chosen One that spoke of the coming of a galactic savior. It was also the location of a number of other prophecies, as well as a number of cave paintings that visually depicted some of the prophecies and historical events. Sometime prior to 22 BBY, the Ophuchi Clan became disorganized and was scattered across the Outer Rim Territories. Ussej Padric Bac, the Shaman of the Order of the Whills, appeared to the Ophuchi in order to bring them back together. After doing so, he led them to the cave in order to show them what the Ophuchi came to believe was their true destiny. In 22 BBY, Sarus, the leader of the Ophuchi Clan at the time, began to fulfill the destiny of the Ophuchi by telling Annikin Skywalker, a young moisture farmer on Tatooine, that he was the Chosen One who would lead the galaxy towards salvation.
