The Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand, Incorporated is a non-profit organisation founded in 1923 (originally named "Native Bird Protection Society"). Since its founding, its members have discovered many of the relationships that tie together forests, rivers, and the sea and all of their inhabitants. It publishes a quarterly magazine "Forest & Bird".
