Noran Dej'lk was born during the Sith era on the planet Nerual. His father, Narak, was a skilled Jedi warrior and fought to destroy Revan and Malak. He knew his son was Force-sensitive, but he had no idea that Noran would possess power even greater than his own, the power to create a body out of midi chlorians. Revan sensed the child during a break in the war and sought to destroy him. He journeyed to the planet Nerual and faught Narak in a lightsaber duel, winning when Malak stabbed Narak through the back. While Revan battled Narak, Malak had killed Nara, Narak's wife, and thrown Noran off of cleft, expecting it to kill him.
