He's right, but not in the DEA sense - Spooner was the delivery boy for the Spurloch family, who bred tigers in Texas, one of the few places in the world where it's legal to do so, and then smuggled them to New York, for their wealthy customers to slip past Customs and onto their private jets. Beckett and Castle, meanwhile, were getting a look at the sharp end, as in fangs, claws and shotguns, of the tiger trade, and only Esposito, Ryan and Lanie's hard work and quick thinking kept them from being part of chow time.
