The Iroquois or Haudenosaunee as they call themselves, are a confederacy of six tribes comprising the Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora peoples. Like in OTL the Iroquois had a much more cordial relationship with Great Britain than the United States, thus supporting Great Britain in the Revolutionary war. Although the revolutionary war was a loss for Britain in the ATL it proves to be a tremendous gain for the Iroquois nation. The bravery of the nations soldiers is recognized by Britain in the treaty of Paris, making Iroquia a protectorate of British Louisiana.

Britian modernizes the Iroquois nation, and by 1805 the population of Onondonga nearly triples in size from a generation ago. The Mohawk warrior regime is trained by English generals and armed with modern weaponry (muskets), easily capable of fighting off any imperialistic threat. The Iroquois acted as a medium between the United States and Great Britain and grow immensely from the abundance of resource available from the land. The Iroquois Wampum, their furs, and their crafts become sought after throughout North America.
