Cyclone Benjamin was a rare and unusual tropical-like cyclone in Lake Okeechobee during March 2016. Benjamin became the first offseason super cyclone in Okeechobee history early on March 25, when it intensified to a peak intensity of 125 mph. It caused minimal effects to the surrounding area of Lakeport, Florida, and no damage or deaths were reported.
