  • Image:Disease (Status Effect).png Disease is a harmful that infects the player's immune system until it wears off or is removed. Afflicted characters cannot regain hit points or magic points while resting. Image:Disease (Status Effect).png Plague is an upgraded form of Disease, and lasts considerably longer. • Disease is an Abnormal Condition which decreases HP. HI will not be restored while you are sick. It can be removed with healing potions, healing roots, or with physical removal spells such as Dispel.
  • The Old World is a fairly unsanitary place; the science of medicine is in its infancy and few communities are so enlightened as to have taken any worthwhile public health measures. Rats are more numerous than people in most towns and other sources of disease are polluted water supplies, open sewers, and badly-preserved food. Occasionally terrible plagues and epidemics can sweep across whole areas, but the main risk of infection for adventurers comes from bites and other wounds.
  • The Disease keyword causes a target to become Diseased if an attack deals at least 1 File:Heart.png (after the defense roll). Ability text: Disease: If this attack deals at least 1File:Heart.png (after the defense roll), the target is Diseased.

  • Disease is a dispel type that can be inflicted by some bosses and mobs. They exist both as debuffs and, in rare cases, as buffs. Disease debuffs tend to inflict various negative effects to attributes as well as Damage over time, and tend to be long-lasting effects (normally between 5 and 30 minutes). Mobs that cause disease are usually only those with some indicating word in their name, like "diseased", "rabid", or "tainted". Many undead creatures cause disease.

  • When a character contracts a disease -- by being injured by a contaminated attack (such as a mummy's slam attack, which can transmit mummy rot), touches an item smeared with diseased matter, or consumes disease-tainted food or drink -- he must make an immediate Fortitude saving throw. If he succeeds, the disease has no effect -- his immune system fought off the infection. If he fails, he takes damage after an incubation period. Once per day afterward, he must make a successful Fortitude saving throw to avoid repeated damage. Two successful saving throws in a row indicate that he has fought off the disease and recovers, taking no more damage.
  • Disease was one of the few status effects in RuneScape. It was caused by being damaged by Zogres and Skogres in their dungeon near Jiggig, Diseased kebbits in Gu'tanoth, Fever Spiders, from the scarabs during Dealing with Scabaras in their dungeon in Sophanem, by failing to pick the lock on a zogre coffin (again, in dungeon near Jiggig), failing to cut a scrapey tree in Trouble Brewing, or by the disease handicap in the Dominion tower.
  • Disease is the fatal illness conferred by the attacks of Demogorgon, Juiblex, Scorpius, and Pestilence. It is marked by the text Ill (ill) on the status line. The first time you contract the disease, a turns-to-live timer is started, set to between 20 and (19+Con). Each additional disease attack while you are Ill divides the remaining turns-to-live by roughly 3.
  • Disease is one of the few status effects in OldSchool RuneScape. It is caused by being damaged by Zogres in the Zogre dungeon near Jiggig, Skogres and Fever spiders. It can also be caused by failing to pick the lock on a Zogre coffin in the Zogre dungeon or by failing to cut a scrapey tree in Trouble Brewing. When a player has disease, shown by an orange hitsplat (File:Disease hitsplat.png), the player's skills are reduced by a random amount. Recovery takes one minute per level reduced, which can potentially be a long time.
  • There are a few places you can go to buy cures for your pet as well as locations to head to if you're looking to be cured for free. Here are the most common ones: * Neopian Pharmacy - You can usually find some of the cures here. The Neopian Pharmacy doesn't usually stock the expensive cures. * Shop Wizard - You can almost always find a cure here. Just search what you need. * Healing Springs - The healing faerie is a great way to heal your Neopets and it's free! She may not always heal them on the first try though so you might have to visit multiple times to get the outcome you're looking for. You can visit Healing Springs every 30 minutes. * The Discarded Magical Blue Plushie of Prosperity - Hidden in the woods of Faerieland, this little guy is totally free to visit! If you a
  • A disease is removed if the victim successfully makes two saving throws against it (not counting any extra saves that might be required by the special results). Diseases can also be removed with healer's kits, which requires a successful heal skill check against the disease DC (the same DC used for the saving throws), or with the spells remove disease or greater restoration. A creature under the influence of a disease is immune to further application of disease for the duration of the disease. All diseases and their associated ability score losses are supernatural effects.

  • Disease is an ability that will inflict diseased status, causing Sap 1 and Protect -1 (Drop of 1 maximum health) to an unit that is successfully damaged by the unit with disease. Diseased status is applied before the attack damage is applied, however some complicated issues about disease will be explained below. The status will not stack. As it is dependant on normal attack, if the damage is completely blocked the status will not be inflicted. Disease works in this style: Before 5 November, 2010, the retaliate damage would recoil to the attacker even when this case happened.
  • Diseases were viruses or other organisms that attacked the immune systems of living creatures. Examples of diseases included Cardooine Chills, Krytos virus, Rakghoul plague, and Falsin's rot. A living creature could be infected by a disease in a number of ways, such as coming into contact with another infected creature, touching diseased matter, consuming food or drink tainted with disease, or being the victim of a biological weapon attack. All living creatures had an immune system that was able to fight off infection which could lead to recovery. However, in severe cases medical treatment was required.
  • DISEASE is a Klay World episode about people dying from an invisible disease. It starts off with 3 people standing in a group. Another man comes along, coughing. A klayman asks "You okay there?" and he tells them about the disease. After that, the klayman splits in half and dies. The third klayman said "I sure hope I don`t get the disease. He DID touch me." After that, his upper torso floats upwards, removed from the waist, and into the ceiling fan, where he is shredded into pieces. A piece lands on the second klayman, and he proceeds to vomit his small intestine. After that, a man with a hot dog walks over to the remaining klayman. The remaining klayman says "I sure hope you didnt get that from that guy" and it shows the hot dog man, dismembered into a giant blob of flesh. The klayman wit
