Sgt. Jane Kendall is a character in The Bill. File:Kendall.jpg Sergeant Jane Kendall served as Chief Inspector Conway's right-hand lady in the Community Liason Office. Born into an RAF family, Jane joined the police force at 17 and had been a sergeant for four years when she transferred to Sun Hill. She was a tirelessly committed officer and completely dedicated to her job. She saw her policing role as essentially one of serving the community rather than catching crooks. An active sportswoman, she was not afraid to be disliked and pull rank in order to get the best performance from those around her. Conway came to rely on her intuition and the two shared a good working relationship, based on mutual respect. After a 9 month stint in the CLO, she left later that year.
