| - He was portrayed by actor Dean Winters known for his best portrayel of Detective Brian Cassidy in Law & Order: SVU. He usually appears as something that can cause trouble such as your blind spot, a random windstorm, a distracted teenage girl, a hot babe out jogging, a puppy that has eaten the backseat, a malfunctioning GPS, heavy snow on the roof, a filthy rich executive who can't drive, a destructive raccoon, a klutzy maid, and many, many more that can only be found on the internet and then demonstrates (on himself) what can happen if you have cut rate insurance instead of Allstate by uttering his catchphrase: "Get Allstate. You could save money and be better protected from mayhem...like me!" He also seems to have readily visible damage on him from previous commercials.

Recently, he appeared in a series of humorous ads during the 2015 Sugar Bowl where he appears as a burglar who breaks into the home of a young couple who are attending the game. He steals nearly everything including: A toaster, a TV, a weed whacker, a lamp, a blender, a toaster, a trumpet, yoga mats, all the outlet covers, and six smoke detectors (one of which he stomps). He then begins crudely advertising and selling all of the stolen items online, clumsily destroying several of them in the process. This could be considered his most villainous role to date. He also shares certain similarities with Fire Marshall Bill. Being that he injures himself for demonstrative purposes but only causes more damage. Like Bill, he has survived being set on fire, falling from great heights, explosions, and multiple vehicle crashes. Oddly, other humans seem oblivious to his "Mayhem" form and only see him as the thing, person, or object he is representing.
