The Cardinals moved to University Park, Pennsylvania, which is the campus of Penn State, and became the State College Spikes after the 2005 season. The Skyhawks took the place of the Elmira Pioneers in the league, and their original roster consisted mostly of players that had played for The Grays the year before.
