- Arantula is a black spider-like enemy which is related to the Pider in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
- The Arantula is a deadly and more colorful version of a Pider found in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It has a much higher health and attack power then the Pider. Like a regular Pider, it spits webs at Mario or his Partner. Unlike the Pider, it'll sometimes shoot out three webs at Mario and his partner in one attack. This attack is a lot harder to dodge since the Arantula shoots out the webs a lot faster, twisting its head in the process. Just one of these possess as a big threat and four could be nearly fatal. The best way to defeat them is to use a powerful item or special attack.
