The buhje fly was a species of large, flying insect native to the Sa'ari homeworld of T'lessia. Their wingspans were approximately ten to twelve centimeters, with bodies about seven centimeters long. During their mating season in late spring and throughout summer, the abdomens of males glowed brightly with a biologically-produced chemiluminescence that could easily be seen at twilight.
