Mandé Gradana was the final hereditary monarch of Naboo. She was crowned in 177 BBY on the death of her father, King Tormad, and ruled until her death in 150 BBY. During her final years, she struggled to prevent a war between the Naboo and the Gunguns. Whether she would have succeeded or not, had she survived, it was still debated. It was believed that she and her children, all of whom died mysterious deaths, may have been murdered by someone on her staff who wanted war; there were many impossibly zealous war hawks at the time. However, the wiser members of the population lamented heavily for her.
