- While the more famous Kreon is the one who was the father of Oidopos and Megara, he is not the only one to bare the name. When Herakles was in Thespia he slept with all but one of the Daughters of Thespius and impregnated all fourty-nine. One of the daughters of Thespius became the mother of Kreon by her union with Herakles.
- A warlord, Kreon sought to end wars in Tebis rather than start them. Seeing his potential, Hal Jordan recruited Kreon for the Green Lantern Corps. - Kreons are the little super deformed LEGO-like figures that come with Kre-O construction sets. They are miniature figure base on the designs of Generation 1 Transformers. In the Kre-O line, there are 29 Kreon figures released so far. 17 of them are Transformers, including the BotCon 2011 exclusive version of Optimus Prime that comes with the Matrix, and 12 of them Humans.
