Eugene Hoffman "Red" Edwards (March 15, 1904 – December 22, 1981) was an American football player and coach. After graduating from Weston High School in Weston, West Virginia, Edwards would play quarterback for Knute Rockne at the University of Notre Dame. As a two-year starter, he would lead the team to a record of 7-2-1 in 1925, and 9-1 as a captain in 1926. Edwards was inducted into the West Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 1970.
