Lars Erik Spets (born April 2nd 1984 in Trondheim, Norway) is a professional forward who plays in the GET-Ligaen for Vålerenga IF. The Norwegian began his career with Lillehammer IK in 2002. He switched for the colours of Trondheim IK in 2004-05, an excellent move, as he racked up 29 goals and 54 points in 42 games there. The following season, Spets headed for Sweden, joining Brynäs. Despite many chances to play, he's had much difficulty translating his scoring successes from the GET-Ligaen to the Elitserien. His brother Knut Henrik Spets also plays for Vålerenga IF.

Spets regularly takes part in international competitions with the Norwegian National Team. He played in 28 games with the U20 and U18 teams, and so far, 17 games in senior World Championships. He also played at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. His brother Knut Henrik Spets also plays for Vålerenga IF.
