Sunnyside Unified School District is a growing, dynamic school district which serves more than 16,000 students in Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A. Established in 1921, it is now the third largest district in Pima County. Its boundaries encompass 100 square miles and stretch from southern Tucson to the pecan orchards near Sahuarita, and from Interstate 19 to Wilmot Road. The District also serves part of the San Xavier District of the Tohono O'odham Nation.

Established in 1921, it is now the third largest district in Pima County. Its boundaries encompass 100 square miles and stretch from southern Tucson to the pecan orchards near Sahuarita, and from Interstate 19 to Wilmot Road. The District also serves part of the San Xavier District of the Tohono O'odham Nation. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade attend 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, and three high schools. A new middle school will open for the 2005-06 school year. The Sunnyside District also serves families with children from birth to 5 years old, as well as preschool students.
