Work on St. Andrews began in 1915 and was completely finished in 1918. John Bailey of New York designed the building, but the work was carried out by local builders and workers. The cemetery at the front of the little church was created in the 1920s and houses the grave of former governor Lucas O'Brian, founder of the community.
