The Black Knights of Voodoo (BKV) were a prominent feature in a recurring nightmare that plagued Cecil Price from 1964 until his death in 2001. The BKV were a black supremacist organization that operated in a black-dominated Mississippi in the 1960s, and were resistant to any changes in the state's racial hierachy. They mirrored the real-life white supremacist Ku Klux Klan, to which Price had belonged. In his nightmare, Price and two Black Muslims, Muhammad Shabazz and Tariq Abdul-Rashid, were murdered by members of the BKV with help from a Neshoba County deputy sheriff in much the same way Price helped murder three civil rights workers in real life.

Much like the KKK, the imaginary BKV rode at night, wearing masks to terrorize their enemies. They also carried shields and spears.
