The Geneva International Model United Nations (GIMUN) is a Geneva-based, student-led NGO which promotes the ideas of the United Nations. Its aim is to educate students about the work of the United Nations and to provide youths a platform to discuss and formulate findings and initiatives regarding global issues. The GIMUN regularly organizes different events including an annual one-week Model United Nations conference.

The GIMUN regularly organizes different events including an annual one-week Model United Nations conference. After being recommended by the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, the ECOSOC approved the GIMUN association as an ECOSOC NGO with Special Consultative Status in August 2007, allowing the organisation to report to the United Nations Economic and Social Council and guaranteeing access to all United Nations offices.
