However, the knighting ceremony was commenced in the council chamber or the Hall of Knighthood. If Jedi did not pass the test, they were permitted to keep trying until successful. The tests are, and always have been, done in a few steps with individual tasks and challenges. Here Jedi may visit when they like on any of the courses, sports or challenges available. The challenged include physical challenges, simulacrums, droids, traps, timing, use of the force and lightsaber and many more tasks available, all a degree harder than the next. A tournament is held in the Temple annually to see if anyone can defeat all four thousand and fifty tests, be it with a friend, in a group, or alone. The championship titles are for groups of 15-25 or clans(for younglings only), groups of 10-14(padawans only), groups of 6-8(for anyone), groups of 4(for Knights or Masters only), pairs(Masters Only) and lone challenges(Masters Only). These limitations could be bent if the person wishing to take part is thought to be skilled enough. There was also a duellist competition held annually here also, where fighters would fight with wave after wave of simulacrums, or against eachother, in either one-on-one duels, two-on-two duels, or handicap duels. The competition was held as a ladder event. Lose and you are out, but win and you move up the ladder. Weapons were replaced with weaker versions, so strikes were not lethal, but still stung. You had to keep the one weapon you chose to start with at the beginning of the competition. Once hit in a vital area, you were counted as defeated. Each of the challenge chambers weren't all watched over. Some younglings were stranded there for days, and groups for even weeks, due to the challenges being extremely difficult, being operated by the force in the unwatched areas. They were found either by continuing or by being found by another group or person. Then you would be moved to a watched-over location and either continue once you were given extra rations or leave via the watch-rooms . You used whatever rations you brought. Rations can be bought from the merchant stools outside. The structure stood over fifteen miles long and ten miles high. It was located on Tython, near The Fortress Of The Jedi.
