| - "No Gimmick Needed" Barry Kingman is a good solid wrestler with an all-round game. Since 2004 he has mainly been associated with 4C in Canada, as he has become one of the figureheads in their drive to become bigger. Barry is a second generation star, being the son of the legendary Ray "The Crippler" Kingman, and some feel that the expectation that living up to a famous father brings is actually harming his career quite badly, and people seem to think he should be as good Ray. Barry was signed up early in his career to the SWF, with the hope that he would develop to be a star performer much like his father had been in the 70s and 80s. And while Barry was clearly a talented wrestler in his own right, it was clear from the start that he didn't posess the same elve of talent that his father had and within a couple of years he had been dropped from the SWF completely. After this, he has had a career plagued with comparisons to his father and he has never truly been able to break free from this shadow, despite improving to be a very solid wrestler. He has spent most of his career trying to be different from his father, but has neither the charisma nor the flashiness required to be a star. His runs with the 4C company in Canada have seen him have his great successes, winning their main title two times and having some noteworthy matches with young stars like Jacob Jett and Sayeed Ali.
