Robert Smith (not to be confused with the football player and MST3K guest-star of the same name) was a movie producer and writer during the 1940s, '50s and '60s. He wrote and produced various dramas, film noire and scifi adventure films. He was a writer for shows such as "Science Fiction Theatre", "Sea Hunt" and "Rip Cord". His writing credits include films such as 1950's Quicksand, 1952's Sudden Fear (with Jack Palance) and the 1959 films The Five Pennies and The Private Lives of Adam and Eve (with Mamie Van Doren).
