Crystadurium was discovered by Techno Union harvesters working on Mustafar. The crystals were found in lava flows and were originally thought to just be impurities. However, researchers and scientists discovered crystadurium not only could withstand high heat and pressure, but it also was highly blaster-resistant. They worked with a design team from Baktoid Combat Automata to create armor with shards of the material mixed with durasteel alloy. The Clone Wars ended before this armor could be used, and the plans were lost for decades.

  • Crystadurium was discovered by Techno Union harvesters working on Mustafar. The crystals were found in lava flows and were originally thought to just be impurities. They worked with a design team from Baktoid Combat Automata to create armor with shards of the material mixed with durasteel alloy. The Clone Wars ended before this armor could be used, and the plans were lost for decades. A Imperial librarian later rediscovered the plans and sold them to several arms manufacturers. It was heavier than normal armor and much more expensive.
