The Sa'ari mind shroud was a Force power that occurred naturally in members of the Sa'ari species. Due to their endemic sensitivity to the Force, individuals gradually adopted this type of mental barrier as a means of retaining their personal identity and protecting their privacy. One of the most heinous acts that a Sa'ari could perform was to force their way past another Sa'ari's mental shrouding without permission. Referred to as shroud-crime, such acts were capable of killing the victim, or at least causing severe emotional distress.

abstract
  • The Sa'ari mind shroud was a Force power that occurred naturally in members of the Sa'ari species. The effects of this power were cumulative, though on a macro-scale. With nearly three billion Sa'ari living on their homeworld of T'lessia, the resulting overlap of mind shrouds had a widespread effect on inorganic technology such as sensors. This resulted in T'lessia remaining unnoticed by the rest of the galaxy, despite the fact that Lahara sector, in which the planet was located, had been populated for millennia prior to Sa'ari first contact with off-worlders.
