At the time of her 110th birthday in August 1997, it was reported that Carlotta was doing well health-wise and still lived at her own house (with the assistance of a housekeeper since 1953). Some of her favourite pastimes included watching television and listening to radio, two inventions that didn’t even exist when Carlotta was born. On 1 December 1997, Carlotta Ollino passed away in Forli, Emilia-Romagna province, at the age of 110 years, 113 days.
